This year has been messy for everyone. Same for pianists.
The circuit breaker forced us to go online for lessons. Even now in Phase 2, music exams are still postponed until further notice.
Teachers can’t hold recitals for students to perform too.
This has dampened the mood for many piano students and teachers.
So to liven up the mood, and to encourage the spirit of performance for students, we have specially organised our first ever virtual piano competition…
The Happy Pianist Festival 2020!
Registration opens on 17th July and closed on 7th August.
There are a total of 4 categories of competition.
1. Little Stars (7 Years Old & Below)
2. Classical Junior (12 Years Old & Below)
3. Classical Senior (13 Years Old to 18 Years Old)
4. Pop (No Age Limit, Teachers Are Welcome!)
Any pianist who is based in Singapore, regardless of nationality, are welcomed to join and compete in The Happy Pianist Festival.
This is an online piano competition where contestants just have to prepare a piece and record at home, and submit over to us for judges to evaluate.
They have about 12 weeks to prepare and submit their videos by 30th October 2020. Participants in the Classical Junior, Classical Senior and Pop Category who progress to the finals will have 4 more weeks to prepare for their final recording.
Results for the semi-finals will be announced on 12th November 2020.
Results for the grand finals will be announced on 18th December 2020.
And there are attractive prizes to be won too!
